Yuncture Invests in Vesiro to Accelerate Energy-Efficient Data Infrastructure

Yuncture has invested in Vesiro, a Gothenburg-based tech company with roots at Chalmers University of Technology. The company develops software that increases performance in Elasticsearch environments, helping reduce both server costs and energy consumption. The investment is part of a SEK 17.2 million seed round.

The round brings together a strong group of investors and business angels, including Yuncture, Chalmers Ventures, Industrifonden, Länsförsäkringar Göteborg & Bohuslän, First Gate Invest, E14 Invest, and Mach One, alongside business angels Stefan Mahlstein, Staffan Truvé, Jan Sparud, Petter Eriksson, and Magnus Lundgren.

Vesiro develops a performance-enhancing plugin for Elasticsearch, targeting organizations with large data volumes and high server costs, such as those operating in business intelligence, e-commerce, and AI. Server halls are a rapidly growing global energy consumer. Against this backdrop, internal benchmark tests and pilot projects show that the software can deliver up to three times faster search performance.

“Data volumes are growing faster than today’s infrastructure can handle. Our technology makes it possible to analyze large datasets using significantly fewer servers, reducing costs while also lowering energy consumption,” says Oskar Hagman, Co-founder and CEO of Vesiro.

The company was founded by Oskar Hagman and Oscar Widén, both alumni of the Chalmers Entrepreneurship Program, together with innovator Örjan Vestgöte, the innovator behind the technology.

The investment aligns with Yuncture’s ambition to support technology-driven companies with global scalability and the potential to create both strong business value and positive societal impact.

“Vesiro addresses a rapidly growing global challenge where increasing data volumes are driving both costs and energy consumption. The team combines deep technical expertise with a solution that is easy to implement and scale. Together with a strong investor group, we see very strong conditions for the company’s continued growth,” says Anton Grammatikas, Investment Manager at Yuncture.

The capital from the seed round will primarily be used to strengthen the technical team and accelerate product development and market entry, with the ambition of reaching global customers in data-intensive industries over time.
