The Future of Business in West Sweden – Collaboration for Growth and Innovation
Together with Mikael Damberg, Economic Policy Spokesperson for Socialdemokraterna, and Johan Trouvé from the Västsvenska Handelskammaren, we gathered at Hammarviken and Yuncture to discuss opportunities and challenges for the future of business in West Sweden.
Also present for the discussion were some of Yuncture’s entrepreneurs: Andreas Gerwald, Jibril Ismail, Danielle Karlsson, and Madeleine Gustavsson.
Some of the key topics addressed included the funding gap between the early and later stages of business development, how to attract and retain capital and talent in the region, and how to create better conditions for social innovations.
Yuncture is Hammarviken’s innovation arm and serves as an example of how the business sector can contribute by providing entrepreneurs with the right support and resources. However, to strengthen the innovation climate in West Sweden, more initiatives are needed—not only from businesses but also from policymakers and public actors. By working together, we can create a stronger and more attractive business environment where more people are encouraged to invest, start companies, and grow.
We believe that collaboration between young entrepreneurs and established companies is a key to success—something Hammarviken actively promotes. By combining experience with fresh thinking, we create a unique competitive advantage and long-term growth.
