After Silicon Valley – Rankad.ai Launches from Gothenburg with 1,400 Companies on Its Waiting List
In February, Liam Karlsson and William Gyltman of Rankad.ai were accepted into our incubator program, and shortly afterwards came another major announcement – the company had also been accepted into The Residency in Silicon Valley. A lot has happened since then. After months of product development, customer conversations, and late nights, the company has now reached its next major milestone. Rankad.ai is launching its platform globally, having built a waiting list of more than 1,400 companies.
“We’ve worked harder than ever to bring this to market. It feels like the right time to launch now that we know every customer using Rankad’s agent is achieving results that genuinely change how their brand appears in the search landscape of the future,” says Liam Karlsson, CEO and co-founder of Rankad.ai.
Building for the Future of Search
As more and more people begin searching directly through AI tools such as ChatGPT and Claude, the way companies need to approach their digital visibility is also changing. This is where Rankad.ai aims to position itself. The company develops AI agents that automatically help businesses improve their visibility in AI search by working across everything from content and websites to reviews and visibility on third-party platforms.
“I’ve spent month after month working closely with customers, listening, questioning, and rebuilding from the ground up. It’s been tough, but that’s exactly why I’m so proud today. What we’re launching now isn’t what we think customers want – it’s what they actually need,” says William Gyltman, CMO and co-founder of Rankad.ai.
The Next Phase Is Being Built from Gothenburg
After their time in Silicon Valley, the team is now continuing to build the company from Gothenburg and Yuncture, with a focus on growth, sales, and the launch. According to the founders, their time in the US has influenced how they work today – with a faster pace, clearer structure, and a stronger focus on building globally from day one. At the same time, they describe their time at Yuncture as an important part of the company’s next phase.
“Our time at Yuncture has helped us break into Gothenburg’s network and build relationships with customers, founders, and partners that we wouldn’t have reached on our own. It has given us a home in the ecosystem and opened doors that have accelerated our growth,” says Liam Karlsson.
Growing Interest Ahead of the Launch
Over the past few months, Rankad.ai has built a waiting list of more than 1,400 companies ahead of the launch. Interest has come from a wide range of businesses, from smaller founder-led companies to larger players in fashion, retail, and tech, as well as agencies across the Nordic region.
The company’s investors also include individuals with ties to Spotify, OpenAI, and Voi.
Now, the next step begins as the platform launches globally.
